Checking Student Clearance
1 min read
18 views
Clearance means checking if a student has any pending library obligations before they can get their enrollment clearance, graduate, or request records.
A student is cleared if they have:
- No unreturned books
- No unpaid fines
- No manual blocks placed by the librarian
A student is not cleared if any of the above conditions exist.
Note for the registrar or guidance office: The Student Information System (SIS) can automatically check clearance status. If a student just returned a book or paid a fine, the clearance status may take up to 5 minutes to update.
