Creating and Managing Reading Programs

1 min read 18 views

Reading programs encourage students and teachers to read more. You can create and manage them from the admin sidebar.

Creating a Reading Program

  1. Click Reading Programs in the admin sidebar.
  2. Click Create Program.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Title (required)
    • Description (optional)
    • Start Date and End Date — end date must be on or after the start date
    • Target Books — the reading goal (1–500 books)
    • Grade Levels — select which grade levels this program targets
    • Status — set to Active to make it visible to patrons, or Draft to save without publishing
  4. Click Save.

Managing Programs

Programs are organized into three tabs:

  • Active — Currently running programs visible to patrons
  • Drafts — Programs not yet published
  • Completed — Programs that have ended

Each program card shows the number of enrolled patrons.

Tips

  • Change status from Draft to Active when you are ready for students to enroll.
  • Move programs to Completed when they end so patrons know the challenge is over.
  • Target books of 10–20 is a good goal for a one-semester program.
