Multi-Campus Libraries

2 min read 14 views

If your school has multiple campuses (for example, an Elementary campus and a High School campus), SchoolAide Library can manage them all.

What is campus-aware

  • Shelves -- Each shelf belongs to a specific campus.
  • Books -- Each copy of a book is linked to a shelf, and therefore to a campus.
  • Borrowing rules -- You can set different loan periods and limits per campus.
  • Search results -- Students can filter the catalog by campus to see what is available at their location.
  • Dashboard -- Librarians can filter dashboard metrics by campus.
  • Reports -- The book-to-student ratio report is broken down by campus.

Transferring Books Between Campuses

Sometimes you need to move books from one campus to another.

  1. Find the book in the Catalog.
  2. Click on the specific copy (item) you want to transfer.
  3. Select the destination campus.
  4. Confirm the transfer.
  5. The system records the transfer so you can track where books have been moved.

Campus Availability in the Catalog

When a student searches for a book in the catalog, the book detail panel shows which campuses have copies available. This helps students know if the book is at their campus or if they need to request a transfer.
